" যাদু ! এ তো বড় রঙ্গ ! এ তো বড় রঙ্গ,

চার কালো দেখতে পারো যাবো তোমার সঙ্গ। "

" কাক কালো, কোকিল কালো, কালো ফিঙের বেশ,

তাহার অধিক কালো, কন্যে, তোমার মাথার কেশ। "

ইতল বেতল ফুলের বনে ফুল ঝুর ঝুর করে রে ভাই,

ফুল ঝুর ঝুর করে;

দেখে এলাম কালো মেয়ে গদাই নমুর ঘরে।

ধানের আগায় ধানের ছড়া, তাহার পরে টিয়া,

নমুর মেয়ের গায়ের ঝলক সেই না রঙ নিয়া।

The color of parrots sitting on the ripe ears in the paddy field -
That's the glow of her skin.
