Talsari near Panagarh

A few years back we went on a trip to Shantiniketan, a wonderful place which I surely wish to visit again and this time on purely artistic interest (also music, it is a hot seat of Bengal folk music and crafts). From there we went to visit my friend in Panagarh. There we went touring through the village. What fascinated me was rows of Tal (a kind of palm) trees among the cultivated trees. Well, we see those trees everywhere in Bengal or rest of the India, or for that matter most of southeast Asia; but the serenity of the nature unfolded before me in the golden afternoon light. So, I drew a quick sketch of them.
