With Natraj Pencil
There was a time and I think still now the primary pencil used by most Indian school students is the Natraj pencil. Though I always used Staedtler, (I'm a bit luxurious about my stationery) I still had to use a Natraj now and then, specially when I'm borrowing from my friends. And then one day I thought of drawing with one. In fact that's exactly how I became independent of the tools and started focusing on the techniques.
This is a scene from 'The Merchant of Venice' where there were lines like -
"In such a night as this, when the moon shines bright ... "
And this one is a typical Indian princess illustrated in 'Rah Kahini'
