School Days - Conté crayon

Those were the times when I was trying out many new things. Mostly after reading a set of books on drawing and painting published by Dorling Kindersley. Those books taught me a lot. In fact those 4 books were the only formal/informal education I ever had in this field. In one of those books I studied about figure drawing and found out that Conté crayons were best for figure drawing. So go for it. Sadly I had only two broken pieces of them taken from a senior of mine. And more sadly I couldn't practice figure drawing in its true form (i.e. nude figure study, I was still in school then, and anything of that sort would lead me straight out of the gates). Here are few examples of what I did instead.
